Patent registered for - CARBON NANOTUBES PREPARATION METHOD AND USE IN STEREOLITHOGRAPHY
"The invention relates to three-dimensional (3D) printing method technologies, including stereolithography, which use material polymerization.
In the invention, possibilities have been developed to activate carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in order to ensure the interaction of CNTs with the photopolymer used for 3D printing and to achieve effective dispersion of CNTs in the volume of the product to be created by 3D printing, avoiding CNT agglomeration and reducing the necessary CNT concentration. The goal of the invention is achieved with the help of active reaction products in the mixture of HNO3 and H2SO4 acids, initiating chemical reactions with carbon atoms on the CNT surface, which result in the formation of active centers increasing the interaction of CNTs with photopolymer. Activated CNTs bind to photopolymer molecules more strongly than to each other and disperse throughout the volume without forming CNT agglomerates. The new bonds created and the mechanical strength of the CNTs increase the overall mechanical strength and flexibility of the products".
